Fall president's Message

Greetings From "El Presidente"

Hello all! I hope you are all having a good summer. Mason Dixon Falcons have been on the move, and more is to come in the coming months. The FCA Convention was held in Hot Springs Arkansas over the July 11-14 weekend. Mason-Dixon members were there in force. A "Migration" was run down to Arkansas. Mr. and Ms. "el" drove the chase truck (more on this later) and were joined by Rick and Cris Bowes from RI with Diane Varricchio in Rick's '63 Sport Squire wagon, Bill and Karen Poole from VA in Bill's '65 wagon, and Joey and Jane MacIntire in Joey's '65 Squire Ranchero. The four vehicles rambled down there in 3 days driving. The show was very nice, a very nice hotel with a great breakfast. 170 Falcons were registered for this year's FCA National, approximately 145 showed up, the weather was, of course, hot and muggy, but we missed the Beryl... Mason-Dixon members there, in no particular order: Diane Varricchio, Rick & Cris Bowes, Naomi Henderson, Russ Welty, Jim & Pam Clements, Ed & Cindy Depore, Nancy & Bruce Carlton, Pilar & Mike Garrett.

The place for The FCA 2025 Nation Convention was announced to be Pittsburgh, PA on 7/10-13. Hotel is the DoubleTree in Green Tree. Check the Falcon Club of America website. Since it is so close, Mason Dixon will be providing the wash bay supplies. And, since el presidente drove his pickemup truck, he hauled the Valve Cover racetrack home from AR and will haul to Pittsburgh!

Upcoming this late summer and Fall, more shows are planned:

  • Ohio Valley is having a Regional near Dayton, OH on 9/6-7. Truckin' to Ohio should be great, with a trip to the USAF Museum at Wright/Patterson AF base on the 6th.

  • Ms. "el" and I depart on 9/4 for OH. Carolinas Chapter is hosting a Regional 9/27-28 in beautiful downtown Shelby, NC. This will be a very nice relaxing event.

  • I hope we can see all of you at Mason-Dixon's Fall picnic at Varricchio Ranch on October 12. We'll be talking about all of this year's events, as well as next year's.

See ya'll soon!
Mike
